social vision and design education now
this project began as an investigation, sponsored by LCC,
into the industrial safety propaganda of WW2
it quickly grew into something with its own momentum
the project now combines
history - research - practice - education
social vision
(design by {education) by design}
is a project from Richmond upon Thames College in assocciation
with Kingston University FDA Graphic Communications course
social vision is the projection, through graphic design and visual culture,
of an intelligent and ethical framework for the individaul as part of a larger
community and provides an antidote to the idea of personal interest as a
consequence of individualistic consumption
social vision promises a new kind of dialogue between client and designer
and a refocusing of the designer's role in society today
our mission is to provide you with a broader interpretation of the term
problem solving in the form of applied visual research
to bring the project to life we are bringing together clients from the local
community with tomorrows designers today
become part of something bigger
